Coffee Series Introduces Prospective Parents to JDHS, Basketball Tournament, New Teacher

coffeeThe Coffee Series is back in December. Prospective parents who would like to see the school in “real time” can make arrangements to visit Dickinson this Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Call the main office at (302) 992-5500, ext. 301, to schedule a visit. Light refreshments and coffee will be served.

A representative from Josten’s will be here Friday during first and second lunches so seniors can place cap and gown orders.

Friday is the last day to bring in donations for the National Honor Society toy drive. Bring new or gently used toys to NHS officers Kaitlyn Watson and Amber Warrick or adviser Kathy Sheehy.

The girls and boys basketball teams will hold its annual preseason tournaments Friday and Saturday. The Lady Rams Tournament also will feature Delcastle, Howard and Newark. The Dickinson Winter Classic includes Delaware Military Academy, St. Thomas More Academy, Tower Hill School, as well as the home team. The schedule can be found at http://www.ramssports.com.

Steven Caulfield joins the staff after the retirement of longtime social studies teacher Richard Cini. Caulfield previously completed his practicum at Dickinson last spring before earning his certification in teaching English as a foreign language.
