Delaware Secretary of Education Mark Murphy visited the school Wednesday. During his tour, he had an opportunity to sit in on College Application Week, advanced placement classes and international baccalaureate classes.
College Application Week is a state-wide initiative to encourage every senior to apply to college. This week at Dickinson, seniors will be offered one-on-one help with college applications.

A second round of German teachers visited the school on Oct. 23; this time from the province of Saxony in eastern Germany. The seven world languages teachers were given a tour of the building, sat in on several social studies and English language arts classes, and conversed with American teachers over lunch.
The monthly Dickinson Support Association meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library.
The Choice Open House will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19. Highlights will include performances by the Dickinson Singers, tours of the STEM Academy and information sessions on the international baccalaureate program and Ninth-Grade Academy.
