Student Work Published in National Magazine, Spirit Week, Aspira Club in Parade

Teen InkSenior Jamie O’Neill had her writing published in the September issue of Teen Ink magazine. O’Neill wrote a health article detailing her scare with the MRSA virus in order to make other teens aware of how common and dangerous it can be. Read Jamie’s article.

Homecoming Spirit Week continues today with Throwback Thursday. Friday is Class Colors Day. Seniors should dress in black, juniors in white, sophomores in gray and freshmen in Columbia blue. Homecoming week will conclude with a pep rally Friday; three home athletic contests including field hockey, volleyball and football; and the homecoming dance on Saturday. The Aspira Club participated in this year’s Wilmington Hispanic Parade. Club adviser Liz Allen accompanied students Daniela Arteaga Rosas, Shinyoung Kim, Vanessa Ovalles, Esmerelda Pastrana, Luis Rosado, Seth Schilling, Osuar Terroros Ovalles and Carlshay Williams.
