Students serve food to the needy, English Language Learners recognized

As part of Communities in Schools’ Semester of Service initiative, director Ronnell Page took students to Emmanuel Dining Hall in Wilmington on Wednesday, March 27 to serve food to the needy. Students who participated in this effort were Caitlin Kilm, Joanne Brown, Nicholas Clark, Spachell Fairley, Isaiah Johnson, Rosie Octavio, Andreahna Thornton, Deylin Villa, Jeishka Vazquez, Raymond Stevens, Siani Carr, Jermain Banner, Davasheye Jones, Alexia Romea, Kezia Benson, Diamon Bell-Brooks, DeVonte Garcia, Shavonte Garcia, Yana Savitskaya, Eric Field, Randi Hocker, Jonmir Potts, Carlos Castanada, Kristopher Price, Kyle Nemetz, Jared Gomez, Meacy Benson, Brett Sammons, Jesus Garcia, Jose Santos, Damar Westley, Tony Wimberly, Idalia Salsedo,  and Clayton Crooks.

Current and former students from the English Language Learners program were recognized in a brief ceremony on Wednesday, March 27. These individuals were cited by ELL teacher Liz Allen for proficiency in the English language and exiting the ELL class. They were: Sumra Farooq, Sidra Farooq, Wilson Montero, Jaeyoung Lee, Shyam Patel, Mayra Mendez-Ayala, Hiraida Arzuaga, Maria Cruz-Ortiz, Lori Reyes Rodriguez, Gabbi Freites, James Tugbeh, Ami Yovoh, Daniela Arteaga Rosas, and Milly Brea Lorenzo.
