High School Report, February 7

The International Club will be traveling to Italy during Spring Break in 2014. The trip from April 18 to April 25, 2014 will take the group to cities like Florence, Venice, and Rome. Interested students should contact adviser Gina Travalini-Rubini for more details.

Parents and alumni are needed to help plan and prepare this year’s afterprom, which will be held on Friday, May 10. Contact Terri Baker at terribaker_dsa@yahoo.com for more details.

Librarian Debbie Supplee will be chaperoning a group of students to attend the 13th Annual Festival of Words at Appoquinimink High School on Saturday, March 9. Permission slips can be found in the library and are due by Friday, February 8. There is no cost to students and lunch is provided.

The school will be participating in the Jeans for Teens clothing drive, sponsored by Aeropostale and dosomething.org. Students can donate used jeans in good condition to Supplee until February 8 and receive a coupon for discounted jeans at the clothing apparel store.

Sara Wilson, a member of the Aspiring Administrator Cohort for Red Clay, spent the day shadowing administrators at the school on Thursday, January 31.
